Gavin Williams

Gavin is a Melbourne born Sydney based professional actor and director. He graduated from Sydney Theatre School’s Diploma of Theatre Performance in 2006 and has since worked in independant theatre and film. In 2008 he returned to Sydney Theatre School to complete the Advanced Classical Acting course. In 2010 he has returned to the school as a teacher and director.

His theatre credits include Haircuts (Chapel off Chapel); The Tempest (Sidetrack Theatre); The Negotiating Table (Bulldog Theatre Co.); Macbeth and The Comedy of Errors (Sydney Shakespeare Festival); Twelfth Night (Acting Factory); Hell Hath Three Furies (Dinner with a View).

His directing credits include NSW Lotteries, This is Heaven, and Tea’s Gone Cold (A play he also wrote for Sydney Theatre School).

His film and television credits, among many others, include Underbelly III – The Golden Mile (2010), Equilateral (2010), The opposite of Chocolate (2009) and the 4 stages of a pleasant Dinner Conversation (2008), The Trouble with Woody (2007).

Gavin is also a classical pianist and composer, most recently having composed the music for the musical “Coo De’tat” in 2008.
